In 2010, during an unsettled time in her life, yoga found Courtney. In her very first class she felt something she had never felt before, a powerful moment of pure stillness and peace that inspired her to keep coming back to her mat. As her practice grew, so did her desire to teach.
Courtney received her training from Trimurti Yoga in Dharamsala, India. The 5 week journey she took in the motherland of yoga has forever instilled in her how beneficial yoga can be. Ever since, she has continued to broaden and deepen her practice with the guidance of many amazing teachers from different traditions. Their training, along with her own ever present desire to learn, has made her a diverse instructor. Courtney is experienced in leading the gentle practices of yin & restorative, more powerful practices including vinyasa, ashtanga and sivananda, and specialty practices including children’s yoga. She also specializes in private one-on-one sessions which truly mold the practice to the student’s individual needs. She is passionate about finding balance and cares deeply about sharing the many healing aspects of yoga.
Courtney blends her skills as a yoga teacher and as a fitness professional to help guide others to find their own balance. She is a 200 hour multi style Registered Yoga Teacher, certified Personal Trainer and also carries certifications in pilates, group exercise, indoor cycling, the willPower Method, as well as various other specialty fitness programs.
